Hey Everyone,
December has been an EXTREMELY busy month, as most of you probably know. Therefore, I have not been able to post much this month. However, here is an Ice Tervigon Painting Tutorial. I used green stuff and the jaw parts from a Trygon Kit to convert the model from a carnifex. Well, hope you like it :)

Necrons are Coming and Painting Tutorial List

Hey Everyone,
so, Necrons are on their way, and I will definitely be trying to get my hands on a couple different models to make some painting tutorials for. Speaking of tutorials, I have now made a page (Painting Tutorials) in which I list my upcoming tutorials for the next little while. If there is a tutorial you would really like to see, you can either 1) Post a comment on that page or 2) Go to my Youtube channel (MiniwargamerJ) and there is a new question asking which tutorials you would like to see. Lastly, I will have my Cygnar painting tutorial up in a little while. Hope you like it :)

Work In Progress and Goodbye Mr. Jobs

Hey Everyone,
here are a couple of pictures of what I am currently working on. As you can see, I am working on Castellan Crowe, one of the weirdest Hq's in Warhammer 40K. But hey, he makes Purifiers troops, which is pretty sweet. He will also be my next weeks painting tutorial. This weeks will most likely be an Evil Sunz Orks Tutorial, which was requested after my last Ork Tutorial.

So, Here are the pics:
Castellan Crowe Work In Progress

Also, on a sad note, I was just informed that Steve Jobs (One of the founding members of Apple) has passed away today from a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His spirit, enthusiasm, and innovative genious have truly made an amazing impact on this world and will be missed. Though I never had the oppurtunity to meet him, my father actually worked with Steve for 5+ years in the late 80s and early 90s. He had absolutely nothing bad to say about the man. Rest in peace and goodbye Mr. Jobs. We will miss you.

Bad Moonz Painting Tutorial

Hey Everyone,
so, I was recently asked by one of my viewers to show how I paint my bad moonz orks. While most of my boyz are Deff Skulls, I do have a few that are painted in Bad Moonz, Snakebites and Evil Sunz. Therefore, I decided to post this video showing how I do my Bad Moonz Boyz. You will probably notice that I use mostly foundation paints and washes. I truly believe that they are the best way to save time when painting many orks in a row. Well, hope you enjoy :)

Weekly Painting Challenge - Week 4, Monday/Wednesday Update

Hey Everyone,

sorry for the delayed update. I will once again be giving myself a weekly painting challenge, which should keep me on track for my painting goals. As mentioned last week, I would love it if you would like to join in, and give yourself a weekly painting challenge. Feel free to post your challenge in the comments section below. Remember, you do not have to give yourself anything extreme. If you paint even a model or two a week, you would be surprised how quickly you end up with a finished army.

So, my challenge to myself this week is to finish my 2000 point Grey Knight list with a Vindicare Assassin. Here are "before" pictures (of its current state):

As you can see above, it is just assembled. Well, that is my weekly challenge for myself. I will be posting pictures throughout the week, stating my progress on my weekly challenge.
Thanks for reading and I will be posting more soon.

J

Weekly Painting Challenge - Week 3, Thursday Update

Hey Everyone,

Here is my update for this weeks painting challenge. This week, I decided to only challenge myself to painting a single model, though it is a really detailed one. Here are updated pictures of what my Librarian model looks like:
Grey Knights Librarian in Terminator Armour Work In Progress

As you can see, I have finished up the silvers, blues, browns and reds, and have started the golds. As you may have noticed, I swapped out the warding stave for a force halberd as well. I still have  a good amount of detail left to paint though. However, I am confident that I will once again make my painting challenge.

I will be posting more pics in the near future.

Thanks for reading.

My First Citadel Finecast Miscast Experience - Part 2

Hey Everyone,

so, last week, I wrote how I got a miscast on my terminator Librarian model. So, on monday, I called up GW, and after speaking with an AWESOME customer rep, they sent me a new model. So, it took only 4 days to ship from the states to here in Canada. Here is a picture of the new model they sent me:

After checking out the new model, I new that this one is in much better condition than the original. However, the original is still pretty decent. So, now I have 2 Finecast Librarians for the price of 1. Not a bad deal in the end.

So, though the quality was not neccessarily there for the first model, I did get a new model free of cost and now have 2 hqs. Therefore, my overall experience was positive and I am just as positive regarding GW products as I was when I made my finecast review. I know some of you do not like GW sometimes, and though I can definitely understand, I feel you cannot beat the way they deal with these kind of problems.

Thanks for reading.

Sincerely,
J

Week 3 Painting Challenge, Monday

Hey Everyone,

so, I will once again be giving myself a weekly painting challenge, which should keep me on track for my painting goals.

So, my challenge to myself this week is to finish my Librarian in Terminator Armour HQ model for my grey knights army. Here are "before" pictures (of its current state):

As you can see above, there is a big miscast in the warding stave. Therefore, I will be changing it for a force halberd. Plus, it Has NOT EVEN BEEN ASSEMBLED YET. Therefore, I definitely have my work cut out for me this week. This model is not as detailed as the Draigo Model I painted last week, but still will take some time.

Well, that is my weekly challenge for myself. I will be posting pictures throughout the week, stating my progress on my weekly challenge.
Thanks for reading and I will be posting more soon.
